Antonin DAUM (1864-1930) Auguste DAUM (1853-1909) Nancy School Circa 1900 (date of their Gold Medal at the Paris Universal Exhibition) Rare baluster-shaped vase in multi-layered glass with a transparent Jasper ground in shades of green and pink, acid-etched and enameled with herbarium-style field flowers: cornflowers, campanula grasses and reseda. The base's frieze is acid-etched in 24-carat gold with blue-enameled ogives and thistles, as is the neck's border of florets on a honeycomb background. Signed below the base in handwritten gold: Daum Nancy à la croix de Lorraine Height: 24.5cm Very good condition, tiny chip on the base.
