Georges LENFANT (1872-1945) 18k yellow gold brooch simulating a passementerie button supporting a pompon in guilloche-spun mesh braided with crosses and filigree. Hallmarked GL dice and wings. Weight: 54g. Length 8cm - two security bars on the back- This daring jewel is a synthesis of the silversmith's virtuosity in representing chains. He worked for HERMES VAN CLEEF § ARPELS, CARTIER, FRED, MELLERIO, TIFFANYS § Co among others. In 1909, he created his own hallmark, producing the finest jewelry of the era for a demanding, refined clientele.
