Beautiful and elegant LESGHI carpet (Caucasus), late 19th century Dimensions : 315 x 135cm. Technical features: Wool velvet on wool foundation. A ruby field with diamonds, flowers and florets, "S", characters and animals hourglasses, stars of the Medes and a multitude of other symbols, supports six large cruciform medallions with arrow-shaped stars, lacework, chestnut, ochre, ivory, anthracite and sky. They are adorned and interspersed with entomological shapes multicolored gems and various small symbols. A brick and anthracite anthracite, with positive/negative chess pieces, and another brick with a succession of bluish frame the main one, with a succession of polychrome "bayadère" bands scattered with ivory hooks. Great presence. 315 x 135cm
