Exceptional and important KOUBA carpet (Caucasus), late 19th century Dimensions : 486 x 187cm. Technical characteristics: Wool velvet on wool backing. Four counter borders, two pink and two mouse-gray, with garlands of flowers, frame the main one with multicolored "bayadère" decoration. The navy field features, a rich, exuberant floral design, with scrolls and foliage and stylized and stylized birds. (Partial maintenance restoration on one head).
