SEÏKHOUR carpet (Caucasus), late 19th century Dimensions: 158 x 116cm. Technical features: Wool velvet and wool backing. Framed by three borders, two ivory and one brick, all with garlands of stylized multicolored stylized flowers stands out against a charcoal field of stylized botehs. Three diamond-shaped medallions are interspersed with blossoming brick flowers, and turquoise medallions, with polychrome floral shapes at their centers, are highlighted by flanking pink cartouches. Foliage and small symbols complete and symbols.
