MELAYER carpet (Persia), mid-20th century Dimensions: 435 x 178cm. Technical features: Wool velvet on cotton backing. A midnight-blue anthracite field hosts a plant trellis framing stylized multicolored stylized flowers. Two ivory counter-borders with garlands of polychrome polychrome florets frame the main brick border with a succession of blossoming on leafy branches. A beautiful set.
