Dale CHIHULY was born in 1941 in Tacoma, USA. After studying at the University of Washington in Seattle, in 1965, and at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, in 1967, he went to Venice to study glass techniques. Dale Chihuly's work is distinguished by an in-depth knowledge of glass techniques and coloring. Exploiting fire, gravity, breath and centrifugal force, this accomplished master juggles colors, reflections and organic forms to create unparalleled rhythm and visual effects.
