[NAVY - MANUSCRIPT] - Lot 620
[NAVY - MANUSCRIPT] "Reglemant sur le Rang des Officiers Généraux, Capitaines et autres Officiers de Marine, du 15 janvier 1676 à Saint-Germain en Laye". Manuscript in folio bound in full muted vellum with laces, of 82 leaves written on both sides in black ink, giving the status of the Officers of the Navy. The manuscript begins with an enumeration of the officers by Admiral Comte de Vermandois, followed by the various officer ranks, such as squadron leader, ship's captains, ship's captains, port lieutenants, etc., etc., and the point of order specifying that all keep their ranks and obey their predecessors or those who will precede them, on pain of cassation (15 leaves). Then, in the form of a table, all the protagonists of the Navy are named, with their date of entry into the service, the ensign, and the dates of their appointment as lieutenant, captain, squadron leader, lieutenant-general or vice-admiral, then the date of retirement and death, often with the place, until 1776.
