Important polychrome and gilded wood sculpture representing a clergyman. The chasuble of Spanish form decorated with foliage and flowers carved on the front is painted with a decoration of crosses and scrolls at the back. The sculpture is placed on a pedestal which was used as a resting place during the processions for the great religious festivals. Ecuador, 18th century. Height : 90cm ; Width : 26cm ; Depth : 24cm. (Crack at the back, some chips on the polychromy and traces of woodworm)
