Portico clock in white marble and gilt bronze. The white enamelled dial with Arabic numerals for the hours with two winders, signed SCHMIT in Paris, underlined by a frieze of laurel enrubannée, accosted by columns rudentées with friezes of pearls decorated with medallions and topped with flowered lyres. The base is decorated with pearls and gilded bronzes. Louis XVI period. Height: 40 cm ; Width: 29,5 cm ; Depth: 10 cm. A pair of white marble and gilt bronze baluster cassolettes. Height. Height : 27 cm. (Accidents and lacks, medallions in Wedgwood porcelain missing) Jean-Nicolas SCHMIT, received master clockmaker in Paris in 1781. He supplied Jean-Baptiste FURET (1720 -1807) clockmaker of the King.
