Extremely rare cobalt-colored Murano blown and sandblasted glass globe enamelled in rich polychrome and in relief and enamelled with figures from Greek mythology, including Neptune, Pegasus, the poet Arion on his dolphin saved by Appollo, a musician with the body of a mermaid playing the lyre, sailing ships, the names of countries and seas written in enamel and inspired by the work published in Venice in 1656: the TOTIUS MUNDI planisphere. Cobalt blue glass pedestal, the shaft highlighted by two swollen rings and cut faceted rich decoration of arabesques and foliage scrolled, enameled in cream turquoise and gilded with gold, with the effigy of the Lion of St. Mark Coat of arms of the city of Venice noted "Serenissima Repubblica de Vénézia" later.
