Important polychrome and gilded wood sculpture representing a clergyman. The chasuble of Spanish form decorated with leafy motifs and flowers carved on the front is painted with a decoration of crosses and volutes at the back. Sculpture placed on a base which was used as a resting place during the processions for the great religious festivals. ECUADOR 18th century. Height : 90cm. 90cm high. Width: 26cm. Depth: 24cm. (A crack at the back, some chips on the polychromy and traces of woodworm).
