Important and fine Kachan Kork (Iran) circa 1975. High quality silky lambswool velvet, flowers surrounded by silk, on cotton foundation. Density 8500 knots/dm2. Midnight blue field with original decoration of palmette sowing surrounded by foliage and floral buds in finely drawn polychrome framing a small medallion with serrated leaf inlaid with a diamond-shaped floral bulb. Seven borders of which the main one is ruby decorated reminding the central field. Remarkable finesse and good condition.
