Important and quite fine Isfahan (Iran) around 1970. 380 x 290 cm Velvet made of high quality silky lambswool on a cotton foundation. Density about 7500 knots/dm2. Ruby field with scrolls of palmettes of flowers and foliage in polychrome framing a central rose window in the form of a diamond and in polychrome. Four spandrels with floral crowns reminiscent of the central medallion. Five borders of which the main one is royal blue with petals and flower buds surrounded by stylized multicolored birds. Good condition.
