Large gilt and silver-plated monstrance in the Neo-Gothic st - Lot 261
Large gilt and silver-plated monstrance in the Neo-Gothic style, resting on a contoured base with four openwork feet, the foot is decorated with coloured glass imitating amethyst and polychrome enamelled medallions representing Christ, Saint Anthony of Padua, the Virgin Mary, and probably Saint Francis, the shaft decorated with two enamelled plates of a Saint, the bezel set with faceted white stones is framed with a four-lobed openwork motif of stylized grapes and set with glassware imitating emerald and amethyst, the whole haloed with rays and surmounted with a cross. Napoleon III period. Height 86cm (Accidents, missing two enamelled plates and transformations)
