CHINA, Qing dynasty, 18th century. Two-handled perfume burner made of elephant ivory (elephantidae spp). The archaic decoration represents Taoist masks on each face, while geometrical friezes decorate the base and the neck. The anterior handles are spit out by stylized watch heads. Height: 11 cm, width at the handles: 20 cm. Ivory and gold . Gilding is missing.
