CHINA, Qian Long period (1736-1795) A copper and bronze statuette, partially gilded, depicting a bodhisattva seated in vajrasana on an inscribed quadrangular base. A central pleat extends to the character line while side pleats evoke clouds. The bodhisattva is supported by a double mandorla. He is adorned with a diadem that precedes a high bun. Height without base: 21 cm, with base: 24.2 cm; Width: 11 cm; Depth: 9 cm
